Default if i was banned for speeding....

for say 28 days, do I need to retake my driving test, before I get my licence back?

depedns when you first passed

if it was after 1st of jan 1997 (iirc) then yes

As far as I know if you have a ban, then it is just a ban and your license is 'given back' as such. Or you're able to drive but have to applu for your license back.

If you're license has been revoked and you've gone over your max point limit. You will have to re-take.

Well, my mate was banned for 9 months with a DR10 (Drink driving) within 2 months of passing and he was able to drive without re-taking his test

So i'd say that was false advise.

clean licence for 10 years allmost, but court today for 105

Probably a ban, no points and a hefty fine then.

Ban is more likely with older drivers as they know better and probably won't do it again. Points with younger due to them not knowing any better and teaches then they WILL NOT ever do it again

I thought it was mandatory to take re-test after a DD/DR ban?

Anyway, imo, you've got to be a complete twat to get DD/DR in 1st place.

where'd the drink driving come from, a different kettle of fish to speeding?

only another hr till I finish work, then a 2hr journey to court for 2pm!

i got banned for 28 days,and my ban is up 2day 01/08/07 and i can drive again 2morrow,half way thru the ban they sent me my liscense bk with the ban written on i think u can send them off to the dvla to get it taken off but it costs u,
