I thought about this ages ago, but could not be arsed to do it , Let us know how it goes, disks are going to get warm though, and possibly a bit more travel on the pedal.

actually been done for real, on an old alfa saloon racing car IIRC?

something to do with the rules and regs not allowing upgraded calipers, so they doubled up the existing calipers.

think about the increase in the unsprung weight!

would you not have big problems with pedal stroke to piston area ratios?

not really, as long as you match your master clyinder with the size of the calipers
just means that you only need to exert half the pressure to get the same amount of stopping, this gives you more pad life but at the expense of the dic neding to disapte more heat

don't matter
as long as they are paired side by side
and you don't even have to have them opposing, they oculd be right next to each other as all you are doing is effectivly making the pad contact area bigger

I remember at least one Cossie road car with twin front calipers (im sure there were more too), and loads of racers have ran crazy stuff like that.
