Default what does it mean when a fuel tank is baffled?

i have found some horifying things on my xr2 track car as it dont think th engine was getting enough full up front after close inspection it dont look like there is a swirl pot in the old carb tank and the fuel pump is really noisy.
ive decided to take the whole fuel tank off and put a 3gallon tank in the back alloy one. ive seen a fuel that says twin baffled whatether that means??
can you get racing tank with built in swirl pots?

it means it has plates with drilled holes in/ restrictors to keep fuel around the fuel pump and to stop it sloshing round, to ensure you always have fuel for the pump to pick up not air

if you corner fast ,all the fuel will move to one side of the tank...this may allow the pick up to be out of the fuel ,and there fore not pump fuel...so baffles stop the fuel surging around in the tank... the same idea for baffled sumps

swirl pots remove air from the fuel

most tanks for fuel injection have swirl pots built into them, on a cossie yes you want a swirl pot of some kind.

if small bubbles of air travel up into the fuel rail, eventually they will pass into the injector and missfire

A swirl pot is to remove air, for an XR2 I can't see the need personally, a baffled tank would be fine. But get an expert opinion as well

better than a baffled tank is a foam filled tank, like a pro alloy one, so the fuel is held in a foam inside the tank so it cant move about
