Engine won't stop running

When i turn the ignition off the engine continues to run.

Could this be due to a dodgy ignition relay?
Am i drawing too much power through it or something?

Matt.

It happens really randomly, some times it will some times it won't.

They only way to stop the engine is to disconnect the battery or pull 3 ignition leads off.

i have never tried it with the lights on though.

The reason i think it may be the ignition relay is because this controls all the other relays in my setup (the switch for all other relays is the power from the ignition relay)

The ignition relay has a permanent power from the battery and the switch is the ignition switch.
