more power. (225bhp)

slower, heavier - tank like, take big miles, wouldnt have ex police.

can be made to go quite fast for not alot of cash - i have an ecu for one with chip to take it over 280bhp that i might be selling

T5's came in 225, 240 and 250 brake versions with a mixture of R's in the name
plenty fast in a straight line but show them a corner and they leave lovely black lines on the floors
gentle driving they reckon on 6,000 miles fronm the front tyres

Plenty of car for the money.

The bonus with ex police cars is the meticulous service history they will come with.

V70 T5's start at around Ł1500.

Dont compare it to a cosworth as it wasnt designed for a race track it was simply designed to be a fast familly estate (dog, kids, wicker basket, tartan rug, gold tinned travel sweets <---------real tears.....etc) A to B.

Fantastic family movers, good for towing, loads of space in them and you can fit a couple of YBs in the boot there massive.

Service history essential, good engines 200K no real problem

to be honest, i think they are great at the old motorway munch, but stick them on a bit of twisty and the power just turns them into astra's

Used to have an 850 R

Now got the manual 6 speed V70 R 300bhp out of the box 0-60 5.9 for the manual, the 850 didn't handle when you pushed it but my new V70 R in advanced mode suspension setting handles very well & has no problems getting the power down being AWD, its an awesome bit of kit which i can fit shit loads in & i bet if you go on the Autotrader or search the Volvo main dealer network i guarantee you won't find more than 3 or 4 manual phase 2 V70 R's for sale in the whole country they are so hard to find secondhand, totally different to the older shape V70/850.

Went to the ring last year to pic up Nutters 3 dr in his one that he got specially for the trip.

Took it round the ring too.

Brakes wern't up to much.
Didn't go round any of the stupid amounts of corners.
Useless.

BUT

On a long slog over that weekend- like it was.. it was comfy and ok on juice.

Nice to drive and cruised effortlessly at silly speeds on the way there with and without a trailer

No - but I have seen the car and fancied it myself. It was too much Money when he wanted rid last year, but it became a bit of a bargain for a stage2!
