What's considered a really good time for a saph for example then?

12.7 sounds really fast.

We ran a 11.9 @121 in the sunbeam still running circuit suspension setup having come straight from a race event. Poor 60fts like this, best being 2.1secs, worst being 2.45 on our slowest 12.3 run.

Just goes to show good times at the pod are all about launching and vehicle setup.

Sunbeam was seriously quick, did notice the lack of grip on the start

Also noticed the very nice rear suspension it has

What gearbox and diff ratio does it have ? and is it still the same spec engine as last year ? 120mph pass is going some

I ran today in my 04 fiesta (1.4)

I wasn't very fast as is expected butI did almost beat 2 rs2000's!!

muhahaha

1 which is my mates and the other I think is RS daz - if not it looks the same!! had you all the way mate until the last 100 yrds!! lol

Feel the awesomeness of my 80 bhp!! ROFL

Anyone else bring a slow car and run it, like me? My terminal speed was 70 at best, think I was runnin high 16's secs But it was my 1st drag event and I was a little apprehensive also i'm in the slowest heaviest thing in the world

Vids to follow.......

Has a quaife box and atlas axle running 3.7:1 ratio.

Different engine for this year, though it is a re-vamp of last years engine rather than a completely new spec. Main changes have been to top end, now running solid profile camshafts rather than hydraulics raising rev limit of engine from last years 8000 rpm to 8700rpm. Still running T34 today due to doing lots of pre-season testing to test back to back with last years setup. Currently running 415bhp.

After next week's event at Aintree we are changing the turbo to one of our GT30's and expecting around 520bhp.

gutted i couldn't get the car sorted in time

the track looked in good shape today (either that or people's launch techniques are improving!!)

particular impressed with AJC's 2wd saff, watched as it warmed the tyres, then he took off and it just looked very good ( btw what tyres do you run? the car had loads of neg. camber when squatting, but still gripped like fook )

some quick cars out there today
