I ran a personal best of a 10.58 @129mph. I was hitting the rev limiter in 4th before i crossed the line,so gonna get the rev limiter raised to 8100rpm and put taller tyres on it to bring the revs down a tad.
Im still well chuffed with my time and it was done with no NOS!
1/8 mile time was 6.89 @106mph

Jim

I think when the 286bhp M3 was tested in Autocar they got a 13.9 Ss 1/4. Obviously, the car would have been a bit new and tight then but the roadtesters are keen to get the best out of it.
Is yours much different than standard?

On another note, has anyone ever run a standard 2wd or 4x4 Sapphire at the Pod?
I think the times got by Autocar for new standard versions were approx 14.4 and 14.3 respectively.
I wondered if anyone has got close to those in a standard ( ) Cossie

Running a 4WD the following 60ft times are considered:

1.8s - GOOD
1.7s - V.GOOD
1.6s - EXCELLENT

Sub 1.6's require mind over matter!

Last season I was consistently getting 1.6's.

Was that the blond girl who went past the lights- flapped when she was called back and then couldn't find reverse about 4 times...

REALLY REALLY funny...

Poor girl..... I am sure anyone will tell though its quite daunting sat down there for the first time..

the number of people who didn't know or understand how to stage was shocking... never seen it that bad before- but its all in the spirit of things.

Was yours the one with the Avez A's on it...

Very very impressed with that.... and a white standard looking S2- it was consistantly around the 13.8's...

But- I'll say it again...

On a base, start up map, without the new cam and on very low boost.. Tims 12.7 was pretty damn shit hot- theres more to come from that.... a lot more.

got a best of 13.6941 @ 101.84MPH, 4x4 saff on T3 23psi, but 60ft times (all around 2.2-2.3, 2.19 was my best on the 13'6 run) were killing my times as my clutch is like a banana skin covered in KY thats been given to chris tarrant to hold for a bit

want to be hitting 12's with a decent clutch , but 13.6 isn't too shabby for my first Pod trip
