no race cossie could do this, think of gearing etc, In the last 3 years things have progressed amazingly, N2O and management especially, This is the start of things to come!

The biggest leap was NOT using T4s anymore as the ultimate spec.
Not like i ever used to say to do that like, 4years ago on the RSBB, and everyone scoffed at such a thought, "the lag! the money!" they cried
Like when Mikey Assbird used to say Martin Hadlands performance figures were false and impossible

Welldone Rod and Mark
Quoted from Driving Ambition (Official Macca F1 book):
"As we neared 210mph, I became possessed with not missing the safe braking marker. There, survival instinct over-ruling the urge to accelerate forever, I lifted - 211mph on the quartz-accurate speedo"
This was at brunters without a run-up. It stopped with a good 200 yards left and Mark Shead wasn't driving......LOL

well done rod,
first road legal cosse to crack 200 mph
race rs500 where timed by the speed trap in qualifing at bathurst at a quoted over 200 mph, how true who knows but they where running 3.6 diffs and high profile tyres, with at least 600 plus bhp, and only 1080 kiols,
i even heard from eggenburger that they ran a texaco car on the german auto barn,
timed by a gournalist at over 200 mph,
next time i speak to them i will try and comfurm dates and how acurate this was,

PassionFord Post Whore!!
Good day today first run 199.8mph second 201.8mph proven, Rod driving car 20mph slower on to straight first time he had been round the corner Braked very early 198.5mph with me in the car ,
Each run stopped easly before car park could have braked much later but at 201.8mph the car is moving around lots I would not and will not ever try this on the road as it would be stupid, At 180mph the car is ok but 20mph more it is scary .
Mark

your right but I think Rod putting 30 odd grand in has got a little something to do with it as well. Just using a Gt40 wont get you 200mph

Abso-fuggin-lutely amazing news! To think back in 'Cosworth 5' mag when MAD Tony Brooks did 160mph in the cossie there was the bloke with the black 3dr GGR conversion with '200 MPH' on the number plate which they thought they would crack on the day... and years later its finally done for the first time! How fitting 'MAD Mark' and 'MAD Rod' now sounds The Autronic ECU has proven its worth too!

LOL no probs Ranj, as long as it aint as small as the vid Sunny sent me of Mark on the Full Throttle vid which was a consistent 150x100 pixels in size 10minutes long and think it fitted on a floppy disk with about 1.43MB space left

Well Done again Rodders. Nice to see that the car was driven back home after the event aswell.
Just got into work now. I am totally fooked. Finished a 12hr nightshift at 6am and went straight to Mark's from work then over to Brunters. Left there and picked up my car and came straight back to work for another 12hr nightshift. Damn....I really need my bed.
