can bluefin be used on another car as a diagnostic tool?

i have it installed on my focus tdci, but can it be used on a focus 1.6 as a diagnostic tool as my mates engine light has come on?

I haven't tried it yet with my Bluefin, but others did and it worked for them.

If you need to be sure, call Superchip.
