Hillman imp engine IIRC.. or possibly VW beetle motor...
Duckhams promotion car - the proper engine is all cut away, so the engine in the boot actually drove the car...

The RS500 in the picture below is actually owned my Mark Haynes, son of John Haynes who owns Haynes publishing. He is wheel chair bound and has had the car converted to steering wheel controls, he used to use it in sprints and hill climbs with much success in his class.

i was round there a while back and noticed they'd got the one with the rear engine labelled up as an rs500! the real 500 is nice though
