I went down the scrapyard to find a new front seat for my transit today.
I came across a couple of fantastic condition scorpio ultima front seats. I chose the passenger seat because it wasn't electric so no need to hook it up the the battery or anything like that.
But i wasn't thinking when i bought it, the frame in my transit is alot higher than the frame in a scorpio hense i now have to fit the seat to my existing transit frame.

Has anyone fitted different seats in their transits and how hard was it, what work was involved ???

Im going to have a go at fitting it tomorrow.

DUnno, but the fucking shit seat in my "little" Transit (connect) is giving my back the aches, so I fancy bunging an old ERST Recaro in there at some.....

job done !!!

the frame on my transit is alot narrower than the scorpio seat so after stripping each seat from its frame i bolted two strips of thick sheet metal to the bottom of the scorpio seat, then i bolted that to the transit frame. Not difficult at all, anyone could do it !!!

and its now sssooo comfortable !!!
