Default Thank f**k for good brakes on the ST170!!!

Me and the missus were driving home at about 11ish from the parent in law to be's, and I saw some headlights heading towards us in the distance around the next bend on this 2 lane B road. Then as the lights came around the corner, we suddenly realised that the car was heading straight towards us on our side of the road - we were both doing about 40-50mph. I stood on the brakes and managed to pull the car halfway up the grass verge/hedge, whilst the other car still came up the road, just beeping at us (!) , but he just managed to swerve far enough back onto his side of the road within about 2 feet of hitting us head on!!!

I looked in the mirror to see the bloke stopped up the road but as i got out to find out what he was playing at , he pissed off up the road before i got to him. And it was then that I noticed that the car had foreign plates!!!

The fooker had the gaul to beep at me FFS I just thank fook the ST has excellent brakes, and he was bloody lucky me or the missus didn't get hold of him - we were fuming

Seriously, though you are right you're both lucky to be alive. Good brakes and good reactions to thank by the sounds of it.

- No think it was a new type corsa ? Dawn would have murdered the german (I think) if I had not been so shaken up, and had chased after him properly.

Fooking shit us right up. Would defo been collision if the brakes weren't so good. - Its daft really that insurance companies think bigger brakes are bad Where lucky also that the sloping verge was there, and not a solid wall/hedge - dread to think.
