That awful feeling deep down in your stomach as you slide helplessly towards a post!!! <(Real tears)

From this

To....

Pics aint great I know.

Back end just stepped out on me unexpectedly and I caught it but not quick enough. Certainly would have been a lot worse if I wasnt on the ball! Oh well its an excuse for a full paint job at least.

Bloody big lamp post! I managed to get it to kinda slide the front along the post rather than twat it straight on. Still a bit pissed off tho, purely driver error (Stage 3 2wd Sapph, Marshall tyres and pap weather dont mix).

Just got the beast going again then this, your luck isnt the best sometimes mate is it but like you say no one hurt (apart from your wallet !) could of been worse, just a bonnet and grill maybe a bumper has it damaged anything behind the bumper ?

Well its not the first time its had a smack at least, as the paint underneath is Magenta by looks of it.

Its not too bad though, and the only way youl ever learn to control it over the limits is to take it over the limits.

Stripped it down and its only bonnet, bumper and crossmember behind bumper. Took pics as I did it but I tried to upload them and they have disappeared from my phone and computer. Bugger!

Got a moonstone bonnet for Ł20 this afternoon

unlucky mate but i cant really see how you reckon you caught it but not quick enough and how it wouldve been worse if you hadnt been on the ball. you lost it and you hit the lamp post.which part did you catch? and how might it have been worse?

Well if Id been completely incompetent and hadn't automatically tried to correct the slide it would certainly have been up the kerb backwards into the post, as soon as it stepped I got the lock on as quick as possible but just not fast enough. Thats why I said it would have been worse. Id rather hit the front like I did than do the back end in.

A no where BigErn's coming from. he has caught the back end to a certin extent that it caused minium damage. Not being on the ball as he put it could have resulted in worse damage as in back quarter getting it when spinning out of control

Bumper has been sourced, prepped and primed. Bonnet is on, crossmember is welded on. New mirrors are being painted so I can lose those awful M3 ones, new petrol cap is being painted too so I can lose that awful bolt on metal one too. Hopefully it wont be long before its back out and ready to be playing again.
