Default st170 head vs. zetec head.

hi all,

do these differ in any way apart from the obvious VVT bits? are they the same casting or similar? i was looking on CNC heads website and it states that the ST170 head flows more than the zetec head, but also states its measured using the inlet manifold ould this make all that difference?

anyone?

The ST170 is slightly better. But, so is the inlet as the standard 2.0 ZETEC inlet struggles to flow enough for more than 150 bhp. The ST170 also has a variable inlet tract.

What are you planning?

just thinking about a zetec turbo, notived that the zetec head flows alot like a cossie one... the engine itself is smaller and lighter too is there a reason that people don't use them instead of cossie engines?
