im hoping you mean paddock mate not pits if you mean paddock then yep totally agree but theres only so much you can do to help people who aint prepared to listen to where to park and when to line up to go out etc,
people park like fools plainly blocking others not in their group in, then the ones blocked in complained to me at the pit entrance
the people who were told repeatedly to move their support cars and trailors etc out of the paddock once unloaded didnt help either
people didnt want to make use of the pit garages and preferred to take 3 spaces up outside (in particular the dickhead with the saab and kit car who i eventually grassed to the officials)
is you mean pits then your on drugs lad as all was clockwork

same thing on the track exit to the pits, we didnt have anyone on this position at first until someone missed their session cos they were blocked in to be fair they had themselves parked rather stupidly but we (read as i when i got mob handedly complained at) took their comments on board and attempted to sort it with the help of gaz and alan

thought there was a little bit of dis-prganisation , but like matt says , its a small area and alot of cars , i have to service out of the back of my van , but we managed to park it off the tarmac and on the grass , but we still had people trying to block us in at times
all in all tho i think it was very well organised
sorry matt that you didnt get to come for a run !! - next time m8 !!

just spoke to someone on MSN,
i was in NO WAY slagging the RSOC for being stupid, just passing views that (as said before) the best RS day to date (better than nat days IMO ) needed someone in the pits to tell people where to go.
i was part of the people who missed their 1st session due to others blocking us in, cars/vans with trailers abandoned everywhere,
we were near the pit entrance and found out that every time a session ended people dumped the cars in the nearest space and fooked off!
**UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE** do i blame derby/durham lads for this!
drivers breifing should provide some info on parking, i.e persons finishing sessions should line up in spaces that dont block other drivers in, if someones in front of you ask them when /if there out next, everyone is out for the same thing......... to have a damn good time, nobody block you in on purpose, i came off and parked behind somenes black mk2 RS ( instinctive ad the way the pits is set out, he said he was out next session i shifted Damien to another spot.
start of the day was mega busy but few sessions later it was spot on!
Matt had the problem sorted by 11 ish i think and after that it was fine!!
me wasnt complaining............................ HONEST!!!!

Like last year, a brilliant day with similar (hot!!) weather despite it being september!
I was in the Red 205GTi and have some good video footage of plenty of different cars, particularly a blue sapphire and a white 4x4 and the RS200 replica. Ill get it uploaded shortly.
