i first started working at my Ford breakers about 5yr ago and stumbled accross a Turbo Technics conversion for a 2.0 twincam we removed off a crashed sierra, at the time i thaught why turbo a twinc when you can fit a cossie motor and get more power?!

anyhow i sold it very cheap for Ł200 for turbo, manifold, i/cooler, pipework, downpipe, 5th injector and ECU/wiring.
think it was a chap off this site bought it? Anyway after selling it i owned numerous 2.0 saffys and 2.0 XR4x4`s, realising what i had i could kick myself for being so nieve and thinking cossie motors were a readily available power upgrade, how wrong could i be

No no - you've all got it wrong! Speak to Jaseapphy - now he's the man when it comes to the DOHC turbo'd!

His siggy is:

Sierra Turbo Technics
T25, Beige 701s, Evo 7 Interwarmer, 11 psi boost on 10.5:1 compression and piper 285s.
Not stormingly quick but different and 211bhp / 225ftlb, full boost at 2200rpm.
Well i like it

And his car is:

Name: small.jpg
Views: 2095
Size: 7.3 KB

He did have some of our bling bits on his car - think though he has now gone down the YB route - the turbo DOHC I'm sure is quick, but so much potential in a YB for far less money in the long run.

Cheers
Si

Not doubting that Jasesapphy knows his stuff mate just that graceland did it without a TT kit.

He helped make mine up and although some parts aren't as neat as the TT kit it does the job

Speak to Gracie and Jasesapphy then get double the info!!!

Didn't realise Graceland did the DOHC route - though having seen his work on the E30 Cossie no doubt he would be a good person to speak to about doing any wacky conversion...

Clever bloke

PM Me i can talk you through it.
There are only around 7 turbo technics left for the twinky, i had over 215hp and 240ft lb out of mine with modifications.
The only reason to go for YB was i will never get 300bhp out of the DOHC, especially with a 10.5:1 compression
