Porsche 959

Now, I freely admit I'm not Porsche's greatest fan but I today saw my 2nd ever 959..............always loved these cars since the 80's and astill do now. Only two Porsche's I do like, the 959 and the Ruf 911's (and strictly speaking that isn't even a Porsche once they've built it anyway being a manufacturer in their own right). Anyway, when I got home I found some 959 pics. It is a bit 'rive gauche' these days, but still a stunning car in my view.

What you reckon chaps ?

   Love the 959, probably the only Porsche I would want to own, not that I think that Porsches are crap or anything, just dont do it for me, nice cars and that.

959 - one of the best looking porsche's and very very rare.

and a useless fact - there was only 1 ever made as a convertable :?

Hardeep_Singh 22-10-2006 02:28 PM

one of my fave cars of all time, but never seen a real one i don't think saw a black one last week preety sure it was fake.

its a very advanced car for its time.

why are these cars so rare? you dont see many of these being drivern around like you do F40's?

Sukhy RS 22-10-2006 03:11 PM

I think they are wicked cars, now and back in the day  :top:

pjv7771 22-10-2006 03:14 PM

Daz-rst 22-10-2006 03:29 PM

essex_jamie 22-10-2006 03:29 PM

20 mins after the geezer who bought it originally wrote it off and sold the 'wreck' onto the bloke who paid for the rebuild and roof to come off. Car had to go back to the coachbuilders every time to have the hardtop roof taken on and off and it took an hour each way. The car was white.

Hows that for a memory ? :DD: Got the magazine article somewhere
