Default Cherished Transfer question ...

Just had the log book come back for my car at long fecking last and on section 3 (front of V5c) it states the following

1. Declared manufactured new at first reg ...not worried about this

2. non transferable registraton mark

What exactly does that mean? I dont want the number thats on there but just looking to put a cherished number of my own on there which is on a retention certificate.

Any ideas to exactly what it means and has anyone else had or come across this?

Does exactly what it says on the tin

Sorry It means that reg number cannot be transerred onto another vehicle, its probably got some sort of history on the car, maybe import, or something along those lines. IIRC you can still transfer a Cherished Reg onto the car, it only affects the plate currently on it.
