If it doesnt work properly this time its going
Did a headgasket on the saff the weekend, solved the engine cutting out and the pressurising of the cooling system. But when head was off I checked for flatness and it was slightly out right at the front, thought it would be ok as it wasnt a problem before, now oil is spraying out of the head.
So come home from work early, got 3 hours to get the head off stripped and over to be skimmed, and when it goes back together if it's not right this time she is going and I am gonna buy a real car.

Then yes, I would be wanting to put another one on - I have the late esccos one spare, there are a few well known people who say it's fine for stg3 (it's what I have on mine) and the best part is they are like 15 quid (maybe less )

yes no point in doing anything if its been skimmed to much , you might as well put it on ebay
the people who skim your head will have the equipment to measure it up

I can bring them round for you tonight if you want that mate - just let me have something close to what they normally cost (we can have a look in the magazines) Saves you messing around with delivery etc.

Right its off not a bad considering I had to work in a thunderstorm, under 2 hours. Steve that would be good if you could drop them round I will have to try and get to the cashpoint before she shoots off to work.
Measured the head and I made it 139.5 does that sound right??

OK mate, I'll call in later.
Measurement sounds about right, but take it in a couple of different places as well. So, whoever skims it, tell him no less than the 138.68mm and you should be fine.
Under 2 hours outside - good job
