Default fed up with fords ????

TBH i am fed up with fords cars i need a change drove my mates 03 plate M3 today and all i can say is what a car

I want one

I worked for ford for 16 years and will still prob work for them the rest of my life only ever owned ford cars i got a galaxy the rouse and the misses got a new fiesta

if ford bought out a new RS would bye it tomorrow but thats not going to happen for a good few years at least.

i know i would prob regret it but someone please give me a reason to stay with owning a 16 year old sierra over a 3 to 5 year old M3

and they was in shite at the time wasnt they tony

tony we just took a M3 on a 05 plate in on part ex for a new S-max titanium, they said they would take 30k or 32k for but they payed 35k for it ( fook knows why as we are ment to be running a business )

jim smith is loaning it this weekend as hes new ranger aint been pdi'ed yet, its a nice motor with bundles of options on it

be warned though as the hpi value on a rouse comes up at 1200 quid if in mint condition and low miles

also i belive that part i was ment to give you ages ago went with my car mate, i thought i left it in my cabrio but ive been told it aint so i guess it wa in the cossie, tell me what the price was and ill pay for it and if it shows up ill send it out to ya

Ive driven almost all the cars on the road (that you would want to drive) and the BMW`s are head and shoulders ahead of the fords.
The passion of true possible power and fun died with the escort cosworth (imo) and that is something that will never come back, too many rules and the heads at ford only interested in the $

I drove a renault megane turbo yesterday and without doubt that was the best fwd car ive EVER driven, it was an absolute dream !!!!

Ive owned an m3 cab and it was a true performer, great power, superb handling and total reliability even after constant abuse.

I am getting older now and more boring i guess but i am drawn to the 360 spyder more and more these days.

marco polo,

I do not doubt they are good cars and yes I have driven one or two.

IMO, most people buy BMWs as more of a status symbol than a car
to drive and enjoy.

Just seems that the old nazi staff cars are taking this place over lately.

simon you gotta move with the times mate, otherwise we aint gonna evolve

my bmw cost 1500 quid, ok its a tad bit thristy but its a nicer drive than my cossie, i dont ahve to worry about it getting knicked ( unlike my fucking cossie) it has lots of nice touches that my cossie never had ( illumiated mirror so i can pop spots when stuck in traffic day or night !!! )

and its a car that my dad aproves of ( well he did kind of approve of the cossie till i took him out for a spin in it,,,,, cant do that with the bmw as its too comfy, he cant tell when im doing 120 in that )

i may be buying another cossie in the next few weeks if and after we move house but tbh its only cause mine was stolen i want another one, i left mine outside my house for over 18months and never finished it

and didnt you sell your escort matey ?

Marco i would be mad not to buy one and am really thinking about getting one will still have to own an RS though my be a RS1600I or S1

true what u say there mate only numbers and cash to be made but they know that if they did make an other rs it would sell out. but how much money would have to be put into it which ford will not do imo.

if fords make an other rs will it be on par with bmw evo and so on

You dont own and drive an old ford because of its reliability, comfort and build quality, you own one cos you have a pasion for them, probs going back to schoolboy years and no matter what new car you buy, most people will always hold that passion in the head and want an old rattley ford. I certainley want another old ford and always will. Ive been down this road now many times and yes bmw's etc etc are better cars in many many ways but thats not what its all about.....

I regularly get to drive "Proper" cars........911`s,X5,M3,M5 etc and yes they are all excellent cars, obviously head and shoulders above my old dinosaur for reliability,etc,etc............................BUT .....they lack one thing, none of them have any real character(Except maybe the 911.. )...they are too good...they run perfectly, handle great, ride fantastic, look good,go like fook etc but there is just something missing that i can`t put my finger on.......It must be the first word in our website name....PASSION....I have a hoot when i`m out in the cossie and when i get back after a day out i`m still buzzing for about 2 hours(and no...it`s not the vibration.. )but if i go out for a day in something nice like an M3 i come home completely normal and relaxed......Great cars...just the same as a million other M3`s,very good cars and very competent, built specially for us by efficient german men in immaculate white overalls to a very high standard...every one exactly the same.....mmmmmmmm

Sorry chaps i know cossies are old rips now and all these new generation things are superb, but every fookers got one and they are becoming BORING....

Can`t ever see there being a PASSIONBMW.COM....

Maybe one day i`ll grow up and see the light.....but maybe not eh...

*Disclaimer*

This does not mean i will not buy one to go with the cossie at some point in the future......

I test drove a 03 plate m3 cabby with the flappy paddle gears and tbh if i had forked out the money brand new for it i would have been back there within a week asking for a refund.

There was like a 1 second delay between gear changes and the throttle response was terrible quiet a big delay between pushing the pedal and getting power. I also had a problem down gearing from 4th to 2nd then trying to pull off in 2nd, it just reved and nothing happened for a good 2 seconds.

Othere than that it was a nice driving car but not a drivers car not involving or exciting. I think a proper box m3 would be a cracking car though but the paddles were terrible imo

I drove an e46 m3 a while back and really liked it. Excellent all round package. I have my eye on one. I keep holding off to make sure its the right financial move for me as I need to keep putting money into the house

as for a megane 230 or whatever its called. I drove it and thought nothing much of it. infact i thought it was pretty boring.

abi is so cool, wish we had more people at our place like that

oh and i hear everything,,,,,,,, as i work in the office remeber so i get told all the gossip

epsom notn having a van is affecting us bigtime as anything from gilliham, you, staines (who also dont have a overnight), hayes and alperton ordered after 5pm we wont be ble to send out to our customers until the mornig van 2 days later as that fucking redneck tosser dont get to us untill 3pm and so we miss the afternoon van

meaning we have to vor mor stuff and we have alot of bodyshops witgh 25% discount so we actualy loose money when we vor stuff in

our gp has been avereage 22% this month so far, that means we need to do more runs. have more customers/orders to get the same profit

bottom line is i dont get my profit based bonus

abi is a real star though, such a quality person
