I offered transport there and back from coventry airport.
I quote "I have 2 spare seats on board if anyone wants to tag along ?"
So, this isnt a good enough offer ? i must also supply tickets ?
He-Ho, i hear the trafic isnt too bad 4 hours standstill last week for the same gig.

Chipped - I think your wording has misled people
When you said "I only have spare seats for the RETURN journey" I think all of use took that as only having seats for the flight BACK from the show, not as to AND from
Thats where the ribbing is coming from pal - don't take it to heart!

If you book a holiday would you buy a single flight too your destination and then a seperate single ticket to bring you back home or would you book a return flight ?
The offer is a return ticket (thats there and back for the mentally challenged)
I have 4 tickets too the gig all taken but have 6 seats on the helicopter.

My very first post was clear i though.
"We are traveling from Coventry airport tommorow midday by helicpoter and landing at the helipad at gate 10 of the national bowl.

OK, if some people thought it was for the return leg only then surely this states FROM coventry TOO the national bowl.
Im sorry for the confusion and distress this may of caused the people reading this thread.

Agree with Tiff I'm afraid mate, a RETURN JOURNEY is just that, a journey whilst you are RETURNING from your destination, if, however you had actually used the words RETURN TICKET in the first place, it would have made more sense, as, like you say, that it how it is phrased if you were purchasing an airline ticket for your hols...
Either way, a very nice offer, one which will hopefully be snapped up...

A few unbiased comments but I am sure I will get jumped on anyway.
1) I understood the meaning of this generous offer.
Cant see why others failed to do so
2) As I said on ANOTHER thread recently, depends who you are wether or
not your past mistakes are "allowed" to be commented on without
fear of reprisals or band wagon jumpers. Even though if that person
since has made ammends. This comment is a generalisation and not
aimed at anyone in particular.
Once again the TRUE hidden spirit of passsionford strikes again....
