Default £6500 to spend on a cossie....3dr or Saph????

Am looking into buying a cossie and have around £6500 to spend and wanted to know from you guys what i can expect to find for this kind of money. Dont want anything that has been modified to the max as would far rather go for one as standard as possible and as original as i can get. Had a Saph 4x4 a couple of years ago and quite liked it but prefer the look of the 3dr and im sure buying a 3dr would be a sound investment as they seem to hold good money but not sure if i could get a nice one within my price range ! Your thoughts please....god or bad !!!

I would say get a 3 door then, you will get a nice standard one for that.

If you were after something with a fair few mods and extra power then for £6.5 you would probably be better off getting a Saff.

Sounds to me though like a 3 door is your answer!!

speaking from experience, sapphs are boring but can surprise others who just think they're an old taxi

imo you will get a good saph for that money, you will only get a entry level 3dr for the same amount .

so i would go for a saph

2wd saph mate, youll prob get about 400 bhp for that sort of price, a lot more fun than a standard 3 door imo

A big horsepower cossie is out of the question im afraid as have lost my license 3 times in the past cos of speed ( bikes !! ) so thats why im after something as standard as possible. I stay in the Highlands and the roads up here are total shite so no need for something thats capable of 0 - 60 in 4.5 seconds and does 180 mph really as wouldn't be able to use it to its potential !! Would only be used as a weekend car and taken out in good weather so wanted something thats in good order and easily kept like that.

im no expert, but at that kind of money you'll find it a lot easier to find a good saff than a good 3dr imo.
