Just this second got home from National Day......
And what started off such a good day out, soon turned into the day from hell for me when I decided to leave.
Queing up to leave Donny, following Spiky & Nuts RS to drop off Spikys car so the AA could come pick it up................ and my bloody clutch goes!
Managed to get 3rd gear and limped it to the BP at East Mids airport, which is where I then sat for 3 and a half hours for a Recovery Truck. I've just walked thru the door, im tired, hungry, and my face is red from wind burn................ top day out by all accounts
May I say thank you to the AA who have somewhat gone down in my estimation, your call centre staff are thick as sh1t and dont know what they are talking about.
A big fcuk you to Arther Jones Recovery in Donnington who tried to take advantage of my situation and tried to rob me blind by wanting £311 to take me home.
And a big to Keith at Trade Recovery based in MK/Beds, who came and got me, took very good care of the cossie putting her on the flat bed and turned out to be a huge Ford fan and only charged £140 to do the same round trip that the other Company would have had to do - highly recommended 07816 242798.

Nice to meet you too AJ, and thank you again for the doughnut(s) lol
Met so many people from PF today, apologies if you saw me tagging along behind Spiky, and every so often you heard me say "Who are these people" "Who's he" "What are your names then?" lol
Oh and apologies for getting Steve Scott to run around trying to find a trailer for me at 6pm, I bet when he heard my voice on the other end of the phone saying "Steeeeeeeeeeeeve, you know I asked you how much you want for a clutch earlier cos I think mine is on its way out........... well it's gone, can you help me get the fooker home?!" I bet he thought Great, just what I need at this time of night lol Nah seriously tho, I rang a fair few people from here to try and get a trailer and a big 'mwah' to all of you for trying to help in finding me one

hey to everyone that went to nat day, shocked to hear about the security probs, I myself had no probs either getting in, or out.
Was pleased to note at least 3 other rouse sports, one of which was in concours. Mine was the only Ebony one there that I noted - dint look round the car park tho. - Mine was parked on our club stand, but someone forgot to bring the club stand sign. Thanks to everyone who showed their interest, and thanks to everyone who made a comment about my furry yeti boots.. and no they dont need to be fed..
I had a really good day, and well done to everyone who did the track, they all looked like they were really enjoying giving it some welly. made me a bit jealous cus i really wanted to do it.
was a bit miffed that PJ motorsports werent there tho. I wanted some 4x4 badges

Cor you two had a right mare didn't you!
Good for you on the FUCK YOU though Clare!
And agreed with everyone else, the M1 on a Sunday eve is NOT the place to clutch dodge!

SNAP! I know the feeling, my clutch cable snapped on the way back aswell but i managed to drive it the following 250 miles home , most of it was all motorway thankfully and there was no hold up's. There was a couple of hairy moments at the odd junction though. I only had to start it in gear twice
Oh yeh, coming through the tolls at the Forth road bridge i just threw the guy the £1 and kept going
