Ok guys / girls I need your help

My mate has a mondy mk2, the temp gauge needle is always sitting in the centre weather hot or cold.

Any ideas what could cause this ?

Already replaced water temp sensor (how many are there) and dash binccle

mine sits about a qtr.

surely its normal, i mean once the car has warmed up it will only go so far and thats it?
