Just changed Hard Drive. Windows help?
Just replaced the hard drive on my mum's laptop as it was on the blink.
Trying to get Windows on it. How do i get it to boot from the cd first? It just keeps coming up Operating System not found. Went into setup and it doesn't have an option to boot from cd first?
Anyone know where i'm going wrong?

You need to be using a bootable windows disc - turn PC on, load CD, turn off and then boot up again. You should get a screen saying *to continue loading from CD press any key* or whatever, so press it.
If the CD isn't bootable, you need to go into the BIOS and change the boot order.
