Default Engine Judder - please help or ill cry,lol

Right ive had an engine judder ages for flippin ages now! Well after feckin about with pretty much everything its still there. It got so bad it actually cracked my downpipe in two due to all the stresses of movement!!!!

Anyway i have:

Had the wheels balanced/checked TWICE
Tried different wheels all together TWICE
Swapped both driveshafts
Swapped Brake discs incase they were warped
Checked the callipers for siezure
Checked the gearbox is tight
Replaced all three fecking engine/gbox mounts

AND STILL THE FECKIN THING IS SHAKING AND ITS GONNA KILL ANOTHER DOWNPIPE AT THIS RATE

please throw any feckin ideas you've got! This one has me truely stumped!!

I know this should be in technical but its doing my head in and ruining the drive of the car

its an xr3i

Should also add it will happen in any gear, but its only right at the beginning of throttle, once the gears going its doesnt happen

Can you elaboprate on the judder, is it present at idle/under no load, or only when driving?

Engine is perfect at idle no matter how hard you rev it!

Will do it when in gear(any gear) and basically with the car in the air if you start to push on the throttle it will really violently shake back n forth, so much that the bonnet shakes all over the place too.

when on the road if say i was in fourth cruising and suddenly stamped my foot down on the throttle the car judders violently and then starts to properly accelerate.

Must've posted at the same time, you beat me by a few seconds, lol.

Could be the fuel metering unit? They can tend to gum up a bit, making them sticky when closed - just speculating though. The metering flap is under the air filter, and carb cleaner can be used to clean it up. (I'm guessing it's an MFi not EFi)

yer it is an mfi. would it really make such a difference between idle (and reving) and being in gear and reving?

Possibly not given the severity of judder.

Was also thinking maybe clutch, but then would expect the problem to be more across the board.

Only speculating again, but some outside possibilities to check:

bushes on the front, arb, tca - if worn/broken can react violently to sudden throttle changes.

Or, the engine isn't liking sudden load which could be a fair few things.

Wish I could be more specific than just throwing ideas around wish you luck in getting it sorted.

All the bushes are practically new and anyway i doubt theyd cause it whilst the car was up in the air. Again clutch is nearly new and theres no slippage/vibration from the pedal or anything.
Ill clean up all the metering unit and change the ignition service items for new bits.

Cheers for your help Billabong.

Has anyone else got any ideas?
