Default ERST owners never cease to amaze!

Decided to check the twin kenlowes last night, extended the wires, and put them on the battery. Only one working.

Upon closer inspection, I found that about 4mm of sheathing had been pulled back and the wiring from the other fan loosely wrapped round. It was brown and crusty where water had obviously got in.

WHY do people do wiring like this? This is what keeps your water cool in your radiator, why risk blowing a headgasket / possibly worse for the sake of 10 minutes to do a job properly?

Muppets.

Anyway, cut all the wires back, and soldered all properly.

FOOK ME, how fast do them buggers spin

Cant wait to get it on the car, bit more boost and have it go under Mr Norris's knife.

i just cut the wiring and gave them to you as they were.like you say though a few more minutes spent doing them right first time can save a lot of hassle in the future.

glad youre happy with it

Yeah they do spin up. I reckon its becuase they are slim fans they have a shallow blade pitch so to get the cfm output needed they have to spin the blades at a higher rpm
