Anyone used the Tremec TKO Box on Track?
Trying to decided what box to get.
Its the only thing left for me to decide on.
Anyone used this on track? good or bad points?
Trying to find a suitable box to use on the road and occasionally on track.

Its amazin ive been telling people that the TKO is the rwd gearbox solution for about 7years & yes its still going strong & never been touched.
Fit it & forget it whatever you throw at it.
Think Brom has one in his car so should be perfect for the Track.
Keep being told you must have 6 gears but 210 in 5th is fast enough (so far)

rod, yeah i asked you about the box about 2 yrs ago regards ratio's and diff setup etc etc.
dont think mark wanted to do another after doing yours though
will speak to him about it next time im up there to do some work.

they are perfect for track i had sold loads
gear change so much faster than the t 5 due to being a 3 rail selector not a single
i was doing marks convertoins a while ago Ł2500 in the car
thats big prop modded bell housing new gearbox pro 5 shifter modded gear mount plate
and a clutch plate to suit if going twin plate Ł60 more

if i put a t5 in im always going to drive it like a panzy in 1st 2nd and be worried about holding it in 3rd.
I dont want my driving style to revolve round the box.
dont want a noisey box either, i.e straight cut.

not sure i understand that , dont get me wrong the T5 is not a race box and the ratios aren't my choice but i dont think YOU will have a problem whatever engine you have in the car , youd be surprised how quick you can go And theyre cheap !
