VERY possible

The problem is getting the extra fuel in though, you cant do it with a "wet kit" as such.

Using propane too though works VERY well.

I know someone who ran 13 second quarters in a bog standard (in fact was heavier than standard due to chavvy wheels and stereo) 418 turbo D rover.

Its not something ive done myself though, so i only have second hand info

diesel powered YB?

WTF?

Why start pissing about with a YB rather than just chuck steel rods in a diesel pinto?

not like you need 16v on a nitrous motor anyway

Chip,

Yes, it is based on a transit diesel pinto.

Why use a YB ? - Its all about how it looks if you ask me.

Why do you think people still use 8 injectors and air injectors

As above. I had heard propane was the best way to get extra fuel i with a diesel nitrous set up.

Its so high octane it doesn't ignite when on the compression stroke, only when the diesel has become ignited.

Simon, if this is a serious project give trev at wizards of nos a ring about it, he is without a doubt the worlds leading authority on nitrous diesels.

He's on holiday in italy for the next couple of weeks though.

Thanks All , will pass on advice.

Fuel wont be an issue as it uses common rail electronic injectors from a VW.

It was on 5th Gear last night, on the re-runs on satellite

VBH was running a boggo Golf Diesel Auto...

She did the usual overtaking a lorry in a limited time test and then she did a standing start drag race with Tiff Needell in a Honda NSX...

She held the NSX off for ages, but eventually he passed her.

Give Wizzards of Noz a call as they fitted the kit so they will probably be able to tell you all about it.

The up shot was it worked VERY well.

That golf on the program that trev did wasnt actually a good example, they didnt give him enough time to sort it properly and he actually could have got FAR better results from it with a bit more tweaking on the mixture etc.

Still worked well of course, but it would have blown people away if they had seen the REAL possibilities.

Depends on the vehcile and the gains you want to see.

Anything from about 500 quid upwards to a couple of thousand or more.
