the 2nd cage that came has been fitted it looks a strong cage but theres still a few bits thats wrong that need rebending or reprofiling

only reason i bought from custom cages is you have the option of getting it all profilled so its a perfect fit and being a pipewelder by trade labour would be free

how wrong could i have been

will be speaking to there md again tommorow

Custom cages always need a little work... well some need a lot actually, but the basic product is good.

i expected a little cutting but not rebending off tube

and theres little you can do when the pipe is bent incorrectly or cut too short

apart from that its brilliant

For a Fiesta cage thats closer than normal simhopper ...

The Ł150 or so extra for profiled 'ends' is sometimes worth saving if you can do it yourself.

Not dealt with them regarding a cage due to the nightmares regarding my old gearbox, never worked properly from day one

I noticed the unit next door to them did roll cages, didn't realise it was part of the same company until i heard of someone elses cage being bought from there and not fitting properly.

If you look at the company logo it looks like RTD, which stands for "Roger The Doger", as you can never get hold of the guy, was told my gearkit was on the shelf, gearbox would take 2 weeks to get built, 3 months later i get the gearbox, and after a couple of weekes the car lunges forward when i start it, even though it wasn't in gear Told it's my clutch / engine WTF! anyway take it back, they have it for another month, get a phone call to say it's ready, book a day off work and travel 100 miles to get it, then i arrive and he said it wasn't ready at all Blames secretary for not telling me, even though he was the one who called me to say it was ready, she had left a voicemail on my work phone the morning that i wastravelling to them Complete fuck up on their part, they ship the box to me at their cost, but again lasts about a month before goes wrong again (my engine / clutch must be really fooked LOL).

In the end gave up on it as lifes too short to deal with muppets

After 2 months i said to him "i'm coming to get my gearbox" he said "come and get it, but it's in a million pieces", then he said it would be done in a week, waiting for a part, took a month, was just glad to get it back, but as it turned out that was just the start of the problems with them, oh well lesson learned i guess

I'd never use them or recommend them for anything, i'm sure they do have some happy customers, i've just never heard of any, perhaps he does better work with proper "motorsport" customers rather than joe bloggs building a car to compete in some form of motorsport

i thinks its a case of what there can get away with

rodge the dodge was telling me his cages win rallys...its not the car or the driver

i will be contacting trading standards tommorow anyway ad filing a claim online thro moneyclaim

people like this pi55 me off you pay them good money for nothing but shi7e and exuses
