cutting out multiplugs
think the multi plugs on the loom are going to have to go.
how awkward is it to do ?
i can solder quite well but have had trouble with looms, sometimes it's as if the copper doesn't want the solder on it, any ideas any one ?

Make sure you don't just chop it all, then try and figure out which goes where
I did mine one wire at a time just to be safe.
Oh, and don't forget to slip some heatshrink on there before soldering away
20 min just, but fooking awkward leaning over when soldering and holding the wires together

Testing the future
as ryan says, best to cut back until you've got good wire again.
and stagger the joints as best you can to avoid a massive bundle in one place. try and mechanically support the loom both sides of the joins afterwards as well, as soldered joints can be quite brittle.
