If I knew everything the camera could do and just secure the focus I would be fine tbh. I can change focus points, but I couldn't work out yesterday how to just use the centre focal point to capture the shot, so the camera was trying to focus the whole shot! I then tried the manual focus, but trying to focus, zoom, hold the camera and take the shot proved............ hard! I knew I should of took my tripod.
Paul,
Canon 300D
Stu,
I had the camera on rapid fire and used photoshop to crop the image mate! All I did was put the shutter speed to 160 to get the blurred background, but unless the focus is pin sharp and you move really smoothly with the camera (as seen on only a couple of pics above), they look shit (like most of them )
Dan B,
The sports/action mode will be too quick a shutter speed and not give the feeling of movement with the blurring. You must slow the shutter speed down enough to freeze the main focal point but blurr everything else. Looks awesome when you get it right though.

My zoom lens is in Cuba at the moment
You can scroll through the focus points by pressing the button with a picture of the AF points on it, centre point should flash next after the top point?? (I'm sure you know that though!)
Anyway, National Day I should have it figured out for (and you bloody need a zoom lens at Donnington!)
