i loved mine but like said , you have got to be preparired to part with cash to fix. my thermostat went and i thought £30 and i will fit my self .......... more like genuine part only at £60 ish and had to had it fitted cos of where it located . proper tight behind the rad etc....
mine would cost £65ish of super unleaded and i would get about 300 miles if i drove sensible amd nearer 250 if i booted it quite abit. to scared to boot it all the time , probably been below 200 miles

[quote="WD Pro"]Forget about the mpg, with an M3 fuels the least of the costs !
'In my opinion' - They are not a car that can be run on a tight budget mine snaped its inlet cam and cost 8.5k to but right (BM prices but it was covered by them).
Very nice dailey drivers though and do everything very well.
PM me if you want the low down on running costs etc.
Cheers,
WD
Indeed i agree and a just to add dont bother with a 5 grand m3 unless you have that again to spend on it,they can be even more trouble than a cossie if badly maintained!
To be realistic at around 5 grand id settle for the 328 sport which are every bit as good as the early M3's,and not much slower really.
