Keith
i am guessing that is because you dont want the power steering pump running off the engine if that is the case can you not just fit a electric power steering pump to run the power steering when you chose ie. handling circuit ?????

Personally i dont want the stress an event like this brings, last year spent 4k to prepare the car & it lasted 5secs, that aggro is not required at 60 with my blood pressure.
My car is not suited for this event in any way. Topspeed wise could probably be very competative & i await to see how many are past 200mph at the mile. But ive consentrated on Topspeed & that takes 1.5 miles so im not really interested in my speed at a mile. The quarter mile aint for full weight road cars & mine would struggle to get in the 10's & ive no intention of changing the car to suit the drag strip. Handling ive no idea ive all the right bits but way to heavy, ive got more sound proofing in mine that Keiths car weighs . .
