The one thing that i cant understand is when women say they have been raped when they havent.
Happened to a mate of mine, wasted a shit load of police time they could have been catching a real rapist with and she never got done for wasting police time at the end of it.
How a bird can do that when she knows that doing so increases the chances of real rapes happening by diverting focus away is beyond me, and i view it as equally as sick as the rapists themselves.

For 2 where are all these girls "mates" do they just let these things happen I mean even under normall cirumstances it takes a couple of girls minimum to go to the lavvy etc at pub/clubs, so when do these people get the chance to actually do anything ???

OR are the girls leaving voluntarily with these people if so dont think that actually date rape, I mean the drugs arent mind control drugs they just gotta be something to render the woman unconcious or unable to respond react or something

ok, heres one i couldnt decide on and its what Rapid 1 just said.

A girl makes it clear to a 'mate' that she doesnt want things to go further.
He sees her out, completely out of it-stuggling to walk, talk etc. He takes her back to their mates where she was staying, she's vaguely aware of what he's going to do and wants to say no, but cant even speak, so they end up having sex. He leaves her unable to get dressed.

So whos fault? His for taking advantage? Hers-for being irresponsible?

"Friends/Mates" or at very least known by so trusted by the victims are where it is likely to happen, the "trusted" person has the oportunities to do stuff like administer drugs away from everybody and then just wait for them to do whatever they will do

In your scenario Ellie it tricky the man shouldnt ever take advantage of any girl in that state whether a friend or NOT
Personally just wouldnt, but then like the name suggests tis rape, if the woman isnt fully aware and wanting intercourse in a responsive way then cant again personaly see what enjoyment there is

Also dont really think it right for a girl to let herself get in that state in the first place (could just be the generation im from )
But again it depends on the exact circumstances you are talking about, if a bunch of girls all go out together and have arrangements for safe travel home then ok for them to drink as much as they like and get in whatever state they like, but again like in my first post why did her "mates" let her go off in the state she was in, it was there "responsability" as mates to look after her (like in your version why did the bloke have to take her back to her mates where she was staying, why couldnt/didnt she go with her mates).

In all your "scenario" would say the girl is the innocentist of all, and ok its not right for girls to have to worry about that sort of thing but unfortunately they do and should

In your scenario was the girl on her way home on her own in that state, did she leave her mates in the club in that state did she leave them to go with him when she was in a better condition so they "presume" she wanted to be with him, if that the case how did the bloke percieve it ?

i was spiked with the date rape drug a few years back now, i knew i'd been spiked as i was only drinking water that night.

When i started getting hot and going dizzy and being sick i knew i had to get home, i was very lucky!

I managed to get myself onto a taxi and get home before i passed out for god knows how long! All i remember was talking t o rudey on the phone and him asking me what my pupils looked like, but i couldn't see them everything was blurred! Then i was gone. My dad kept coming in to check i was breathing apparantly!?

It was a very scarey experience!

just had an update- they have been at St Marys in Manchester till 4am with police an running tests on her!

Rapid1- It was a big village street party. She was with a group of girls, and they were staying over together at one of the girls house's.
He was friends with her mates brother so it wouldnt have been unusual for him to be round there, and as people knew he liked her, i doubt theyd have seen a reason for concern at seeing them together. Or they didnt really give a toss.
One minute she was with them drinking and dancing in the street with a village full over other people, the next waking up in the neighbouring village, hours later, and he comes out the pub as shes 'walking' passed it.

Was very embarrasing the next day when everyone was teasing her about it. Bought it didnt occur at the time what he might have done to her, she thought it was her own fault.
I guess that might be why stupid girls 'cry rape'. They do it before theyve thought of the consequences.

I think theyre both to blame in some ways but he's more in the wrong, especially as she was 15 and he was20-something.
