Question Red top cam cover gaskets, leaks and torque setting?

Hi Fella's,

So i have a red cam cover on my 88-89 sapp.
What product would you suggest for a new gasket and half moons?

Im guessing you cant get the cork ones anymore?
Do the rubber ones leak? Are any sealants required with the rubber one?

Also, anyone know the torque setting for the cam cover bolts?

Cheers.

Hi mate. I tried the nitril rubber one but had loads of problems with them. The best I've had has been a cometic one with blue hylomar sealant at the mating ends of the half moon seals and the rest dry. Be very carefull with any sealant as my mates Escos he's just had to have his engine rebuilt as the oil pick up strainer was blocked solid with old sealant
