Clarke torque wrench's

Anyone used these or recommend them. I'm thinking of buying a 1/2" version.

Whats your budget?

What ever is needed to get a tool that does it's job well.;-)
I know the Halfords one seems to get good reviews and is about £70, but if the Clarke is as accurate and people have had good experience with it then i'd get that one.

I read a review on torque wrenches by a uk magazine a while back, sure the Halfords one was top rated.

I've got a few bits of Halfords pro tools and get a ribbing sometimes from my work mate but as I tell him, the halfords employees aren't making them out the back of the shop!

I actually have one of their 3/8" torque wrenches and it's a lovely bit of kit. To me it looks like it's made by Beta.

any one is good just make sure you get it recalibrated every year

ive got that same wrench although mine is 6 years or more old and it was £40 or so when i got it

Used fairly frequently in DIY car maintenance albeit mostly for wheel nuts . seems accurate compared to others ive used and seems to last ok.

I got a Clarke digital torque wrench. Excellent bit of kit, no more winding it up and down again when done either.

Good range on it and some nice features, including not needing calibrating.
