Default my mk3 xr3i turbo

I thought i would do a thread about my 3i on here.
Ive ownd it over 4 years and in that time its came along way and i only use it for 6 months of the summer

I did a full underside resto in 2010 but tbh i got bored of the engine so its now undergoing a turbo conversion, nothing to silly just a nice and tidy useable summer toy

heres a few pics of the car, then ill add a few underside pics then where im at at the minute

this was the day i collected it from birmingham

this is how it looks today pretty much, the lower fogs have now gone and its on a private plate.

a few underside pics.

a few of the old 3i engine tidied up

Now on to the turbo conversion, I repainted the engine bay once it was all stripped, chuffed to bits with it considering it was my first attemp.

a few new goodies

brand new cossie calipers

thats where im at at the minute, ive just finished refurbing the s1 front anti rollbar today, so im not far off getting it all built up and back on its wheels
ive also refurbed my koni suspension and im fitting new spax springs on ect
interior wise its got a full s1 set up, but i have got a nice condition dash to go in. but i might strip it with roll cage etc, not made my mind up yet.

Then it got carted off to Platinum paintworks for a full pretty much bare metal paint job, I was well chuffed with the quality of Andy's work it has to be said:respect:
I also opted for a bit of a brave move of having all the plastics done in gloss black, but it came out well and its different so I'm all over that

very nice. Only thing i'd probably ad is I think the early xr3's come with a small like mudflap thing infront of the rear wheels, it would just add to the side of that.

What is the front splitter off? rs1600i?
