Car will start and auto choke kicks in, but once its warmed up its a pig for tickover some times it will sometimes it wont, drive off all fine knock it into netural for lights ect cuts out, ive took the carb off cleaned it to the best of my abiltiys with petrol and airline, same
Ive had a retired mechanic have a play, he took it off refitted same problem
its got a kn filter on top
ive been using high temp silicone instant gasket. (keeping it neat as poss)
im dont really know my way around these carbs so not sure what to do next,
please any advice, or do i just need to buy a replacment carb?
do they have breathers on the inlet manifold i should check?
im at the end of my tether i just wanna get out in my retro car and its turning into a nighmare

Does it have the thing on the side of the carb with a wire to it ? I forget what its called its been so long since I have messed with one lol.If so replace that.Forget that as thats for the choke and yours is water temp operated. Is the choke deffo switching off,as said check for air leaks too.
