Default This gearbox fits into a 3Dr?

I know that the 3Dr's and the saff 2WD have fitted the Borg Warner t5 gearbox, and the 70's mustangs used the same gearbox (not exactly the same but almost). Now i saw this gearbox and lots of people here in the US are fitting this gearboxes into mustangs... Is possible to do the same into a 3dr? Somebody in this forum did it? I am really interested in that because mine is almost broken and if i cant fit a 6 speed gearbox it could be very cool!

Here is the gearbox that i said:

Thanks a lot!

I hope that you all will understand me, my english level is not very good...

i am not sure but i thought the T5 that goes in a cossie is an extended version of the mustang box, (the actual box, not the bell housing) if this is correct it would mean your gear lever would end if in the dash

Thanks a lot! Do you all know any important modification to fit that gearbox inside? Any different bolt holes? The gear lever would be in the correct place? But if somebody did it already in a 2wd i think that is not as hard as fit another completely differnt gearbox...

after a bit of investigating (i had it the wrong way round), the above mentioned T56 gearbox is approx 3.1 inches longer than a cosworth T5, which puts the gear lever pretty much under the hand brake, it will fit, but you can make any thing fit if you throw enough money at it and you dont care how it looks

Thats what i wanna find out, because i dont wanna buy a gearbox that doesnt fit well in my car... But I talked with marco polo and he said me that to fit that gearbox he had to do:

get an adapter plate welded on your bellhousing as they all use different adapter plates

secondly , you will have to modify your propshaft

thirdly, you will have to change the center of the clutch

forthly , you will have to but a manual speedo drive for the T56 aswell
He said also that you dont have to cut anything of the gear tunnel, so i guess that he is saying that the gear lever would be in the same place...
