Default advice on buying a 2wd saf

About too buy a cos, just need some advice on wat too look for, ive falln in love with a white 2wd stg1, brand new turbo, fsh, minor rust under arches where theyve bn rolled, avo tarmac spec coilovers, st/stzorst, has all o/e pipes under bonnet and o/e recirc d/v, mint cloth interior, 95kmiles v.quiet diff and box, clutch feels weird but bn told the cable has bn cooked by the turbo where there is no heat shield but that is bn replaced, idles up and down a bit, will hav 12months of mot when i show some cash! no smoke on start up but the car was allready warmed up wen i got there, doesnt smoke on over run seems to be in gd nic he wants £3800! sound gd?

best advice i could ever give when buying a cossie is what ever you spend on buying the car make sure you've probably got half that again to keep it running!

also insist on seeing and hearing it running from cold before you part with any hard earned. piston slap goes away pretty much once warm!

cheers, yea i av gd idea of runnin costs dont think ive had a normal car for about 5yrs all bn turbo's and gti's since my first ever motor, is there an easy way of doing a oil pressure check? is there an in car guage, dont hav one on the escort rs!
