Default Which Tyres

Hi just recently bought some diamond cut 17" rs 7 spokes for my sapph 4x4 and was just wondering which tyres would be best eg 205/45/17 or 215/45/17. The car is lowered by 30mm and i dont want to do any arch mods if possible and dont really want to go to 40 profiles unless i have to. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

i had some rs7's on 205/40/17s but wish i had gone bigger on the back for more grip. 40 profiles look much better i think cos my mate once had 45 profiles on his and they looked like bus tyres compared to mine.

i run 215/45/17's on my sierra, but it's jacked up by a good few inches to get them to sit within the arch
and it rubs like buggery when i've going over even the smallest bumps
stick to 40's on the front to give you that extra bit of clearnace, if you were only 2wd then you could go for the 215's on the rear, but with the 4wd you'll burn the transfer box stuff up within a few miles
