Sierra Cosworth RS
I have a problem with the fuel-pump not kicking in when starting. The car is a Sierra Cosworth RS 1987. I know that the fuel-pump is good and works when putting 12v directly to it. Any help appreciated.

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
3drs don't have the fuel cut off switch like the Sapphires
If the relays and fuses are ok, and there still not 12v at the pump then it could be the fuel pump loom. I had to replace mine due to low voltage at the pump

I think you're right.... Only had 0.5 volt on the pump with ignition turned on. Will trace cables and have a look. Than you for your reply

You would need to have an assistant turn it over whilst you check, hence it’s best to start at the relay and work backwards (literally).
Whilst the fp wiring is prone to voltage loss with age, it wouldn’t be to this extent.

You won’t have, as the pump may or may not prime at best, so that’s correct.
