Default Fitting softlines to a 4x4 (New member/owner hello)

Hi all,
Ive just purchased a Sapphire Cosworth 4x4 , after many years dreaming of one, its my first Ford and first Cosworth. So hello to everyone. I have just bought a set of softlines RS7's to put on it.
Two questions:
Wheel nuts: Will standard wheel nuts work for bolting softlines to a 4x4 saph ?
Tyre size - 204/40 R17 or 215/40 R17

Thanks in advance,

Mark.

Yes standard wheel nuts do work for fitment.
Tyres I used were 205/40/17 from memory

It depends what you call standard wheel nuts. You cannot use the ones for steel wheels, but also for alloy wheels there are different versions. Original Ford wheels all use the same though.

Regarding the tyres, 205/40 is equal to the standard size, but I’d rather have 215/40. But it depends on the wheel width and offset if they don’t catch anywhere.

The company that sells the wheels should have the correct wheel nuts to fit them safely if they know what car they are going on.
