Helix high clamp from Reyland and the plate that goes with it. You will need hydraulic pedal.

I'm using a Tilton OTii in mine. 540bhp, 480lbs.
Coupled with a hydraulic conversion it drives like a standard car. Maybe even a little lighter.

This is the best single plate clutch kit for your Cosworth, we have tried them all and others don't come close. High clamp cover means that you can run upwards of 500hp without problems, we actually have several customers with closer to 600hp with this clutch reliably! The high clamp load (better than AP racing) does mean that the clutch pedal will be heavier to depress but this can be overcome by fitting our superb hydraulic clutch conversion.
  • Suitable for power levels up to 600hp
Clutch plate & cover £542*

seen this on Reyland website rates them much better than AP

Absolutely fine. It was heavier to use but the 205 pug bulkhead was a little tricky to get the angle right on the master so it may not have been perfect and the pedal ratio was different but perfectly fine,

Hi Toby
went to buy this clutch today and they advised it wouldn’t be upto the job
my engine will be 500lb/ft torque
a lot advised on a twin plate but personally don’t fancy this

I think twin plate would be best esp from a reliability point of view, and even more so if your gonna give it some stick

Cheers Paul

Possibly... but then nearly 600hp is a shit load of power to put through a single paddle plate clutch that ain’t really designed for that, just my opinion

When I phoned reyland to order my hydraulic clutch they told me they have used the single plate helix on their 4x4 3dr which iirc was 600hp

This is what I think I’ll be going for
Alcon have got to get back to me yet but Helix seems a lot more availability than any other
