Alloys Sierra Cosworth ET

Hello,

I would like to order new alloys for my Sierra Cosworth 4X4. Preferred size would be 17" but I'm not sure about the ET... What would you guys recommend?

17x7.5” or 17x8” with ET35. I guess the 7.5J wheel matches better with the tyre size of 215/40. The 8J should actually have a slightly wider tyre, but 225/40 is not available.

THX!
I'm not racing the car, only to make it better looking. 17 x 7.5 will be enough I think!
You would recommend me ET35?
I've seen Fifteen52 17" alloys with ET42, would it fit my sierra?

Not sure on ET42, never heard of that on a Sierra before. I have had a few different sets of alloys on my 2wd Saff and they have all been ET35 fitment. Tried and tested which is what I would advise you to fit. Mine are 17 X 7.5 with 215/40/17 tyres.

Okay thank you... so I should not be worried about the 8J? Only about the ET?

As others have said you may find it difficult to get the wider tyres to fit the 8j, and you may need to roll the arches as well if the suspension is lowered. I would go for the 17x7.5j ET35 size as there are lots of tyres to choose from in that size.

My Saff with 17x7.5j and 215/40/17 Federal RSR trackday/road legal tyres.

Rolled arches front and rear needed to give enough clearance.

That's seems to be true! I was thinking about the Rota D154 wich only comes in 8J for 17". But like you said, it's hard to find 225 tyres. It's 215 (too small) or 235 ( too big)
Are there any alternatives to the Rota D154 wheels?

Bart, there are lots of different alloys that you can buy but wheels are a personal choice so you will have to decide for yourself which ones you want.I love my old school OZ wheels but other people have their favourites.
