Lads on the subject of hydraulic clutches, my work shitter 05 ka has been having problems getting into gear especially when comming of motorway daily for last week it's strange though as I'll park it get back in and fine then go notchy again radomly I thought clutch obs so went to price one and it's hydraulic now my last ka died the same way but went totally, pedal to floor drove 15 miles without clutch fucked the box do you think it is slave cylinder? If clutch it would slip no?

Sounds like it could have air in system or the clutch slave or master as you say, may as well replace the lot, can’t be hard or expensive on those. Gearbox out and new clutch can’t be too hard.

Centre push bearings are perfectly reliable most cars have them and there good for thousands and thousands of miles. What makes them unreliable in conversions is most definitely people using normal clutch bearings from everyday cars on heavy covers. Same reason the side push one can be unreliable hence so many saying it’s easier to change.
