Instrument dial removal
hi all
i want to remove the instrument dials ie speedo rev counter etc from my Sierra saff cosworth as some of the lights behind are blown.
is this a dash out job?
Im hoping it’s just a case of removing the cover to the dials and some bolts in behind
any help appreciated

...i recon it is just removing the cover and than few bolts for clocks removal...btw on my escos i find it easier when i disconnect the speedo cable on bottom as it makes easier to pull all out..

Remove steering cooling top and bottom.
Remove 2 screws in top
Remove 2 screws lower one is under a snap cover rhs.
Remove surround.
you will the find 4 screws which hold the instrument cluster in. Remove those.
pull cluster towards you and disconnected Speedo cable you will feel a raised part push the into the centre and pull cable out.
then the cluster will move out more which you can now disconnected the wiring plugs.
It's not difficult.

Too many posts.. I need a life!!
As above but I removed the steering wheel, makes things a little easier I thought.
Also if I remember there's a brass/copper strip that connects the stalks on the top, I placed some foam tape over this to prevent scratching the cluster screen when removing/replacing.
