weir performance says that we must use mineral oil lsd hypoid

here in Greece i have found only liqui moly in this kind of stuff
But i do not know if it is good or not,but is the correct

Do a search there have been a couple of threads on this.
People (me included) started using heavier weight oil 90w120 I think from memory to make the diffs quieter.
I have since reverted back to the standard 75w90, as I found no reference to heavier weight oil when I searched the American supra forums about the weir kits, and felt it was the wrong thing to be doing. Heavier oil adds to the drivetrain power losses as well.
Mine quietened down after a while.

As per Ridgey, mine was quiet after a while. I think they are tight to begin with and free up a little as it was like pushing the car with the handbrake on a little to begin with but that freed up (I did have brand new front diff though)

pushing the car forwards or backwards with significant steering lock on is almost impossible

I meant straight ahead....Yes, with lock on you can hardly move my car...

Ridgey, do you have an LSD up front too or is it normal 4wd open or fun wheel drive? I could not remember???

Thought it would be for a track car. I always thought mine was hard to push due to 2 diffs but maybe it would be with just the rear then and lock on.

I know it feels like the handbrake has been yanked on if you reverse and get to full lock.

now I see you talking about supra diffs, does it work well for all of you?

I've one installed in my sierra also with weir performance kit

First diff had too much lock, it was making some noise on turns(clack clack) and the inner tyre felt like with a welded diff. After a few uses it started to loose lock until it had near no lock


then had a replacement diff, installed another new spring from weir performance, and tried to install the adjustin shims not soo tight (just for trying if this was the mistake), also changed the oil to another brand (castrol). First oil was also for LSD.
I don't know what happened but it gave me near no lock, sometimes only one black line on road, and I can lift the car from one side and turn the wheel with not too much force.
Clutches were ok when assembled it.
