Loctite 518???

The Cosworth workshop manual says use the loctite 518 on the throttle cable bracket to plenum bolts! & air temp sensor! I’ve used as a flange sealant gasket but never on threads, is there a reason for this? What do you guys use?

nothing tbh. Never had any issues air temp has a alloy washer so no probs there.
I guess a dab of sealer on the bracket threads won't hurt just help seal threads.

I would say it's for the stud than the bolt so it don't unwind when u remove bracket.

Cheers Paul I did mean the studs that go through the plenum, i couldn’t see why 518 was recommended surely thread loc n seal would do! (Not on the air temp sensor)
What would you use on the nylon spigots? Was thinking PTFE would be ok?

Again on the nylon ends for boost map reg etc I used nothing as the threads seal well.
I use a brake spanner to fit these it helps alignment.
