Loctite 518???
The Cosworth workshop manual says use the loctite 518 on the throttle cable bracket to plenum bolts! & air temp sensor! I’ve used as a flange sealant gasket but never on threads, is there a reason for this? What do you guys use?

I guess a dab of sealer on the bracket threads won't hurt just help seal threads. I would say it's for the stud than the bolt so it don't unwind when u remove bracket. |
Cheers Paul I did mean the studs that go through the plenum, i couldn’t see why 518 was recommended surely thread loc n seal would do! (Not on the air temp sensor)
What would you use on the nylon spigots? Was thinking PTFE would be ok? |
Again on the nylon ends for boost map reg etc I used nothing as the threads seal well.
I use a brake spanner to fit these it helps alignment. |
Ok cheers again Paul.
